Samsung Engineering wins FEED order for petrochemical plant in Indonesia

Samsung Engineering announced that it signed a contract for the FEED business of “Indonesia Trans Pacific Petrochemical Indotama (TPPI) Olefin Complex Project”.

The client is PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional, a subsidiary of PT Pertamina, an Indonesian state-owned oil company.

This is a construction to build a large-scale petrochemical complex that produces low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and polypropylene (PP) with an annual capacity of 600,000 tons.

This project is expected to be converted into the Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) main project next year when the basic design is completed.

Samsung Engineering will perform basic design and EPC budget calculation for this project, and by successfully performing this task, it plans to gain an edge in the competition for EPC orders next year, statement mentioned.
